About

Originally performed live at Northwest Film Forum in July of 2015, Cock & Swan’s re-imagined soundtrack to Only God Forgives weaves together dynamic new studio songs and previously released songs that have been re-contextualized to fit the cinematic narrative.

The success of the live performance and a desire to document this unique creative burst motivated the band to meticulously re-record the songs in their home studio. The studio results now finalized, Cock & Swan invite you to a release party for Julian’s Sword, featuring a screening of Only God Forgives synced with the full 28-song double album.

Julian’s Sword on Dandelion Gold, including limited cassette pre-order

Dream Alone on Hush Hush Records, a 9-track album of hand-picked tracks from the full score

Read an interview with Cock & Swan about both releases on the KEXP Blog here.

About Cock & Swan

About Cock & Swan

http://cockandswan.com

The collaborative work of longtime partners Johnny Goss and Ola Hungerford, Cock & Swan have confidently established an enveloping aesthetic over the past decade with a rich catalog of studio albums, EPs, remix collections, and live soundtracks. Each release has showcased their rewarding evolution through adventurous, intricate, vocal-laced synth-pop; their sound always distinguished with an absorbing experimental touch.

Consummate studio tinkerers, Cock & Swan recently relocated and upgraded their ever-expanding home studio, Dandelion Gold. Their sound palette has consequently grown to include more vivid colors and added articulation, balancing a brighter sheen with deeper darkness. It’s a sound that exists firmly in its own hypnagogic world, at once satisfying and unsettling.

“Seattle’s Cock & Swan have steadily been releasing some of the most compelling electronic music in the city with a healthy dollop of cinematic drama.” – KEXP Blog

“…polished dreaminess with an undercurrent of raw and weird” – CityArts

“…a lusciously dark, noir synthpop treasure…mesmeric” – Fuzzy Logic
