Twisted Flicks featuring Prom Queen: Santa Claus Conquers the Martians

Dec 12, 2015

This special holiday edition of Puget Soundtrack features Prom Queen in Twisted Flicks, Seattle’s only live movie re-dubbing show that merges improv comedy with classic B movies for a hilarious cinematic experience like none other. As the film plays, the improvisers create all new dialog for the characters, sound effects, and live music - completely improvised using the suggestions provided by the audience!

Santa Claus Conquers the Martians is widely revered as one of the worst films ever made. Since experiencing a cultural revival thanks to Mystery Science Theater 3000, it has become a cherished holiday classic. Santa and his pals hang with the Martians, make some toys and battle with the villainous Voldar.

About Prom Queen
Prom Queen's sound is cinematic, vintage and dark: drawing comparisons to classic artists such as the Roy Orbison, Nancy Sinatra and Loretta Lynn as well as contemporary artists such as Lana Del Rey, Broadcast and Dirty Beaches.

After the release of her debut album "Night Sound" in 2012, Prom Queen went from a solo project to a band: with  Ben Von Wildenhaus, Tom Meyers and Jason Goessel joining the fold.

Prom Queen's second album release is "Midnight Veil": a multimedia concept album. The band has chosen to release it on DVD as a video-album: a watchable album of 12 interwoven music videos, each with their own style, following the journey of a magic lamp that travels between the videos.
