Riffing on Jacques Demy’s UMBRELLAS OF CHERBOURG, Honoré has created a charmingly scruffy musical about love and loss in contemporary France. In a 'Chanson' style reminiscent of George Brassens and Serge Gainsbourg, this is a poetic and touching film about being in and out of love, set against the bewitching backdrop of present-day Paris.
