These documentary and narrative films show fearless kids overcoming bias, bullying, poverty, living in wartime and other seeming insurmountable challenges to stand strong and embrace their identities and life. Along the way, they have lessons for all of us. There is nothing that these young people can’t do.

Cynthia, who is 12, is very poor. Both of her parents died from malaria and her days start with fetching water, without having any breakfast. But her way to school through the village and a forest is her path to a better future, she believes. She wants to become a member of Parliament.

In Uganda, many people are afraid of HIV. But Tracy knows better. She decides to no longer keep her secret to herself.
