Sweet Virtual Vibes: SassyBlack's Online Dance Party

This event took place on Oct 9, 2020

About

** Sweet Virtual Vibes is BACK! **

Get ready to move and groove while keeping your social distance. Join the party on SassyBlack’s Twitch on Oct. 9 at 8pm PDT! Jacob Lawrence Gallery, Northwest Film Forum, and On the Boards co-present this edition of Sweet Virtual Vibes, an extension of each organization’s ongoing collaboration with SassyBlack in support of her as an artist, musician, and creative thinker.

This October performance will feature these video interludes from the Local Sightings 2020 COLORBURST program:

  • SassyBlack – “Fluidity”
(Clyde Petersen, Anacortes, WA, 2019, 2 min)
We are all unique fluid beings and that is something to be celebrated and fawned over.
  • Amenta Abioto – “Plant It”
(Alberta Poon, Portland, OR, 2019, 4 min)
“Plant It” is an entryway into the world of plant magic and earth fantasy; a musical journey through mystical lands of synth waves and vibrations.

The event is free, but you can RSVP to make sure you stay up to date on all things Sweet Virtual Vibes. You can also purchase a special SWEET VIRTUAL COCKTAIL (or two 😉) from OtB’s partners at Brown Liquor Cocktail Co. and really get the night going right.

So where do I go?
