About

Get your front row ticket to a rare night at the Hollywood Bowl as the world renowned electronic band Above & Beyond performs their songs acoustically, in the historic venue. Consistently ranked as the top DJs in the world, the three members of Above & Beyond have been together since 2000, headlining and selling out venues all over the world. In 2016 they were ready for a new challenge; rearranging their songs, a group of three grows to 20, not including the 34 classical players that join them at the Hollywood Bowl, and as member Tony McGuinness says, “the acoustic project is a reconnection with the musicians that we were before we met.”

For this concert documentary, filmmaker Paul Dugdale (directed concert films for Adele, The Rolling Stones, Coldplay) captures the live performance with a keen sense of place and scale, giving the viewer time to enjoy the show, along with the fans in the audience. Broken up with stops in New York, Sydney, and Berkeley, California, the band opens up, revealing why the Hollywood Bowl is such an important stop, when they have played almost every major venue on the globe.

For super fans or simply curious about the band, Above & Beyond Acoustic grants all access to one of the most anticipated stops in the band’s career.
