The Indie Filmmaker’s Guide to Captions & Subtitles is part education, part advocation for the importance of adding captions and subtitles to indie film projects. In 90 minutes, I’ll teach you how to expand your audience to the deaf and hard-of-hearing communities, to the rest of the world with foreign language subtitles, and to be found by your target audience through SEO, all for either free or remarkably less cost than you’d imagine. Remember, your film isn’t finished until it’s captioned. Attendees will receive a free “I Heart Closed Captions” sticker or button and one attending filmmaker will win free captioning for their short film provided by Matt.
