Inspired by frequent requests to “pick” her brain over coffee, Emmy-nominated filmmaker Xan Aranda hosts a dynamic workshop covering topics she’s explored during her past decade of public speaking at universities, film festivals, workshops, and as a consultant. Xan has worked on a wide range of projects in both fiction and documentary film and television, as well as branded content, commercials, and music videos.
Intended to focus and empower independent (fiction AND documentary) filmmakers, this event will cover:
- Survival and Resilience Tips
- Creativity Wrangle and Flow
- Community Building
- Strategic Planning
- Project (and Life) Management
- Grants, Crowdfunding, Distribution
- And more
Filmmakers experiencing some of (but not limited to) the following are encouraged to attend:
- New to town or the film business, working on finding your people
- Experienced, want to strategize a pivot
- On a roll, want tighten your game
- Freaked out, burnt out, ready to give up
