Limited to 6 students

Designed for the editor who has learned the basics of editing interface of this software, this FCP X workshop offers a hands-on, project-oriented approach into the deeper levels of the software. We will explore how to improve the quality of your audio during the mixing stage, and how to work and edit a project that was shot with multiple cameras. Students will then work through an advanced compositing module with green screen.

What students will learn: How to edit any kind of project that they may be asked to do, as well as take their edited project through the final stages of polishing for virtually any kind of submission.

Bernard Mann

Bernard Mann is a filmmaker and editor based in Seattle. He has over two decades of experience, working in multiple genres in New York, Los Angeles and Seattle. He’s edited documentaries, PSAs, info-mericals, commercials, and narrative films. He has a B.F.A in TV/Film from NYU’s Maurice Kanbar Institute of Film and Television. His projects include editing the long form documentary Masters of Success starring Ed Asner, the digital cinema projection Kickstarter “Project Ahead” for the NWFF, and most recently, his documentary, A Rich Man. His films have been accepted to multiple film festivals. A Rich Man and his documentary film School is Out were part of Seattle’s Local Sightings Film Festival. He is an Apple Certified Pro in Final Cut Pro and A.C.E. in Premiere Pro CC.
