About

6:30pm-9pm

LIT (Learning Immersive Technology) is a pilot partnership between Arts Corps, Reel Grrls, Totem Star, and the students of Big Picture High School in Burien. The program responds to the need for low-income students of color in Seattle and South King County to gain equitable access to STEM fields, through co-created, youth-centered workshops in Virtual/Augmented Reality, Game Design, Interactive Filmmaking, and Audio Production, as well as professional showcase opportunities.

The LIT interns have been building original immersive content for the last four months, and are ready to share it with you! They will pitch and demo three Virtual Reality games to prospective “funders,” receive feedback, and network with industry professionals.

Portions of the event will be filmed.

Light dinner will be provided.

Northwest Film Forum stands with QTPOC, queer, and trans youth and adults in our community and works to provide a safe space for all. This LIT showcase highlights young filmmakers and teaching instructors who have worked hard on these projects over the course of the last year.
