The ABCs of LLCs
$15 for Members
This workshop explains the basic reasons filmmakers use LLCs to protect their personal and professional assets. We will examine the unique features of LLCs that make this business format a “must-have” for most filmmakers. We will instruct you on the proper ways to file an LLC with the Secretary of State, how to maintain the LLC in good standing, and provide an overview of optional materials that can help you manage your LLC effectively and efficiently. We also will share some fun stories about why you should involve an attorney sooner rather than later, and a list of topics you should discuss with an attorney while forming your LLC.
