Prior experience in non-linear editing is not required. Students should be comfortable using Apple computers. Learn this intuitive editing application, and connect with fellow filmmakers!

Limited to 10 participants

In this class, you’ll review the basic tools in Adobe Premiere, then go deeper to learn how to use its more advanced tools to create strong transitions and effects. We’ll discuss how to plan for creative transitions in pre-production, then execute in production and post-production. The instructor will provide examples from well-known feature films, then show
you how to create the looks in your own projects.

Equipment: No equipment necessary but students are free to use their own laptops.

Kalee Forsythe

Kalee is a Seattle filmmaker who loves all aspects of the storytelling process. She has extensive experience working on sets as a Data Wrangler and Script Supervisor. She has also worked in post-production as an assistant editor for the Daytime Emmy Award Winning web series, Red Bird, as well as numerous comedy and documentary videos for the popular YouTube channel, CUT.
Her true passion lies in writing and directing her own projects. In 2017, she released her debut short film, E 1200, and plans to finish writing, then produce and direct a short romantic comedy inspired by High Fidelity in Winter 2019.
