Getting work screened at film festivals is an important part of a filmmaking career. Learn how to stand out from the crowd! In this short workshop, filmmaker, instructor, and festival programmer Craig Downing will give you an overview of some of the most popular festivals, and some you should submit to but might not have heard of. You’ll also learn what you need and how to submit through sites like Film Freeway and Without a Box, and how to put your best foot forward when building relationships with festivals and programmers. The workshop will end with time for your questions. Following, at 7:30 is the 2017 Sundance Film Festival Short Film Tour at NWFF.
