About
Dario Argento’s giallo The Cat o’ Nine Tails is the second film in his “Animal Trilogy” and, some have said, nine times more suspenseful. Co-starring Catherine Spaak and Rada Rassimov, and featuring an incredible score by the great Ennio Morricone, The Cat o’ Nine Tails remains one of Argento’s most suspenseful and underrated films.
Frankie Arno is a blind author of crossword puzzles. While on an evening walk with his niece near the bio-medical offices of The Terzi Institute, he overhears a conversation about blackmail. The next day he finds out from the reporter Carlo Giordani that there was a break in at the institute. When Frankie learns that Dr. Calabresi, a researcher at Terzi, was pushed to his death, he seeks out Giordani to give him what information he has. The amateur detectives soon find themselves working together to find out the truth before they are the next target.
