About

October is American Archives Month! To celebrate, archives from the Seattle area are coming together to share rarely seen gems from their moving image collections. Selections from the Seattle Mime Theatre, Wing Luke Museum, University of Washington, Seattle Municipal Archives, King County Archives, and the Archives of the Catholic Archdiocese of Seattle will feature early parks and recreation footage, short stories in mime, bishops taking a stand on environmental issues relating to the Columbia River and many other items from the visual history of the Pacific Northwest (emceed by Spencer Sundell).

This archival screening night is presented by Moving Image Preservation of the Puget Sound (MIPoPS) to showcase video digitized with funds from 4Culture.

For more information about MIPoPS, please visit their website.

To view video digitized by MIPoPS, check out their collection on Internet Archive.
