To accompany our July 19–25 screening run of
Instant Dreams, a documentary on the chemistry, community, and legacy of Polaroid photography that we’re copresenting with
Photographic Center Northwest (PCNW), we’re
inviting local photographers to contribute their instant film photography work to a
monthlong group gallery show this July in NWFF’s Stairwell Gallery. During the July 11th
Capitol Hill Art Walk, from 5pm to 8pm, we will host an opening for the selected artists. Join us!
During the month of June, photographers may
submit up to 5 photos of any instant film stock – Type 600, Instax, Type 100 packfilm, JoyCam stuff – anything goes.
Digital submissions of scanned instant prints will also be accepted, and will loop on the adjacent monitor in the gallery. Email Communications Manager Paul Siple and Executive Director Vivian Hua at
paul@ and
vivian@nwfilmforum.org with any questions about the show or submission process!
Each accepted photographer will receive free admission to a screening of Instant Dreams of their choice. Artists are welcome to post their contact info in the gallery for potential sales.
