At once a road movie, a quest film, a family comedy, and a behind-the-scenes drama, Caveh Zahedi’s I Don’t Hate Las Vegas Anymore tracks the director’s journey to Las Vegas with his father and half-brother, where he hopes to prove the existence of God through divine intervention… or, a few tabs of Ecstasy. The second feature from diarist/documentarian Zahedi (I Am A Sex Addict), Las Vegas is a rollicking and hilarious mix of argument, confession, confrontation, and, ultimately, reconciliation.
