A documentary about the culture of food waste that pervades modern culture, Just Eat It: A Food Waste Story follows filmmakers and food-lovers Jen and Grant as they attempt to survive solely on wasted food for a 6-month long project. While they pick through grocery store dumpsters and clean out friends’ fridges, the two learn about the consequences of food waste and the difficulties in recovering the enormous amount of perfectly good food that thrown away for arbitrary reasons. Among other accolades, Just Eat It: A Food Waste Story won the VIFF Impact Award.
