While the event will be free to all, guests are encouraged to offer a donation on a sliding scale. All proceeds will go to the COVID-19 Artist Trust Relief Fund and will directly support individual artists. Direct donations to the presenting arts organizations and individuals are also encouraged.

PUBLIC ART IN PRIVATE SPACE is a series of informal Zoom conversations about how artists and arts administrators are learning to grapple with public art, social practice, and performance in the context of digital space and real-life limitations.
This fourth edition, centered around mural art, features NWFF Executive Director Vivian Hua in conversation with graffiti and mural artists Stacy Milrany, Zaeos, Shogo Ota, Stevie Shao, and Angelina Villalobos!
Featuring a short film made by the Derschang Group.
Stevie Shao
Stevie Shao is a Seattle-born-and-raised artist and illustrator with a love of color, nature and folk art.
Angelina Villalobos
Angelina Villalobos says, “My body of work centers around what is means to grow in difficult spaces. I use the natural landscape of a mural site and add flowing vines, leaves, and patterns. I then accent the overgrowth with colors from nature and hyper-intensify them with pops of complementary colors. I use intricate patterns and linework for the eye to follow while attempting to weave a story similar to how cultural textiles and fabrics tell generational stories. I add animals and figurative work as a way to support this history and hope the viewer immerses themselves in the fairy-tale and folklore of the work I present; becoming not just an audience, but a participant and adding to the narrative with their own unique and personal experiences.”
Zaeos
A self taught designer by trade, Zaeos harnesses his experience in graphic and 3 dimensional design to influence his artistic works. With focus on composition he collages a mixture of op-art, abstract organic forms, characters and letters, with opposing hard lines and realism to create compelling works on both large and small scales.
A native Californian, Zaeos moved to the Northwest in his late teens and helped establish the artist collective SubM2. For the last 10 years he has curated and produced art for Outsidelands music festival in San Francisco and was a major part of New American Casuals from Portland OR in the late 2000’s. He is also part of the international Lords Crew and the northwest’s UNR as well as many other one off projects. Continued efforts to try new mediums while pushing the boundaries of precision has made him an essential artist to keep on your radar.
Stacy Milrany
Stacy Milrany is a visual artist working in a variety of media including painting and printmaking. Inspired by personal observations of ordinary daily life, her artwork often combines text, rich texture, pattern, characters and identifiable objects.
Her style has been described as offbeat, insightful, unvarnished, contemporary, and fun. She also has a background in journalism and graphic design.
A Pacific Northwest native, Stacy grew up in Portland, Oregon and now lives in Seattle, Washington. When not making art, she enjoys walking up steep hills, people-watching, and talking to strangers.
