About
With the passing of time, Charlotte Gainsbourg began to look at her mother Jane Birkin in a new way. Both mother and daughter, icons in their own right and in their own generation, shared a certain reserve in their relationship. This documentary marks their growing-together, as the facilitation of a camera helps them be vulnerable with one another and create the necessary space for a re-imagined relationship.
(Charlotte Gainsbourg, France, United Kingdom & Japan, 2022, 88 min, in French, Italian, Japanese, English & Chinese with English subtitles)
