Pre-Production for Documentaries
$95 For Members
This workshop is designed to provide you with the documentary pre-production materials and resources and project feedback you need to get your next documentary project rolling successfully. The first session will cover paperwork and research practices, including budgeting templates, and legal paperwork. In the second session, Elliat Graney-Saucke will guide the class through a closer look at each student’s project, helping you clarify strategy and think like a producer.
The knowledge and skills you’ll learn will be helpful for all types of producers, directors, and small teams of documentary filmmakers who don’t have a large budget. Come with a particular project and questions in mind, or simply get the foundations you need to successfully set forth on your next documentary venture!
The workshop will be led by Elliat Graney-Saucke — President of the Seattle Documentary Association, documentary filmmaker, and producer.
