Takeaways is an ongoing series of youth workshops with a focus on editing tools and techniques.
In this workshop, students will get an introduction to animation in Adobe After Effects, an application that’s used by the pros for motion graphics and digital visual effects. Students will be taught basic animation techniques and how to incorporate effects into their work. Following the lesson, youth will have the opportunity to create a short animated scene, with time to explore After Effects under the guidance of experienced instructors. Most students will use graphics from image libraries, although those who are more advanced are welcome to bring and import their own artwork.
Experience level: Beginner to intermediate.
Equipment and Software: All equipment and software provided. Editing will be done in Adobe After Effects.
