The Seattle Relief Fund application opens October 25, and Northwest Film Forum has partnered with the City’s Human Services Department to assist artist and filmmaker communities in need of financial relief due to the COVID-19 pandemic!

Application closes on November 15 at 11:59 PM PST.

ABOUT THE SEATTLE RELIEF FUND

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Seattle Human Services Department (HSD) is working with the City of Seattle Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs (OIRA) to provide Seattle Relief Fund (SRF) one-time, non-renewable funding for outreach and application assistance to vulnerable, low-income Seattle households impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. A driving priority for SRF is disbursing cash assistance as quickly as possible to help alleviate the health and economic impacts experienced by individuals and households.

ELIGIBILITY

You can apply to the Seattle Relief Fund if you are low-income AND one of these situations applies to you or a member of your household:

– Live within the boundaries of the city of Seattle OR
– Is a Seattle Promise student OR
– Is a Seattle Public Schools student OR
– Is an artist/cultural worker with an art studio/rehearsal space in Seattle

Funds are available to eligible applicants even if they are undocumented.

Need assistance with your application? Northwest Film Forum can answer questions about eligibility for the Seattle Relief Fund and assist you with your application both in-person and virtually. For in-person application assistance at our office (1515 12th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122) please make an appointment or visit during our designated service hours, which will start Monday, October 25, and go through Monday, November 15:

Mondays, 1 – 4 p.m.
Tuesdays, 12 – 3 p.m.
Thursdays, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Fridays, 2 – 5 p.m.

We will also be offering assistance outside of these hours by phone for those who are not able to make an in-person appointment or visit our office. Please contact our Grants Manager using the contact information below.

Info Sessions will be offered online through Zoom and our Grants Manager will walk you through the application as well as provide attendees an overview of the who, what, where, when, and hows of applying for the Seattle Relief Fund, plus answer any additional questions throughout.
