Unceded Territories

Create and govern a colorful world inspired by the surrealist work of First Nations artist Lawrence Paul Yuxweluptun! Soundtracked by A Tribe Called Red, Unceded Territories is a room-scale interactive piece that serves as a dream-like and disarming experience which reflects on colonialism, climate change and indigenous civil rights.


Lantern Ensemble

Lantern Ensemble is an interactive and collective art experience that provides the users with a realistic calligraphy art creation process on rice paper lanterns in virtual reality (VR). When the users complete their lantern art, they can release the painted lantern in a virtual lake, the lantern will drift away, joining the lanterns of other users. The experience expands from there as users enjoy lantern art by others.

Local Sightings Film Festival

Presented by Seattle’s Northwest Film Forum, the 22nd Annual Local Sightings Film Festival (September 20-29, 2019) showcases the growing complexity of creative communities in the Pacific Northwest. Its 2019 edition features a competitive selection of curated shorts and feature film programs, inviting regional artists to experiment, break, and remake popular conceptions around filmmaking and film exhibition.

Programmed closely with community partners as curators, the festival uplifts new talent, provides educational opportunities for youth and adults, supports the regional film industry, and promotes diverse media as a critical tool for public engagement.
