About

Family film! Ages 11+

Teenaged Mika is excited about spending the summer holiday with her best friend in Paris, but when she has a dream about her beloved horse, Windstorm, she decides to cancel her trip and head to her family’s stables. When she arrives, she learns two troubling pieces of news: the family business is on the verge of bankruptcy, and there are unexplained scratches and cuts on Windstorm’s stomach. Mika reluctantly decides to compete for the prize money in an upcoming tournament. During training, she notices that Windstorm is distracted and follows him when he takes off into the forest. There, she sees a beautiful white mare and meets a mysterious boy. With this sequel to festival favorite Windstorm, director Katja Von Garnier delivers a moving and beautiful coming-of-age film.

NOTES TO PARENTS: The film includes limited foul language, horseback-riding injury, a brief scene of horses living in unsanitary conditions, kissing, and the threat of violence.
