Local Sightings 2015 – Hit 2 Pass
About
Seattle Premiere!
Combining demolition derby with racing, Hit to Pass is a competition where drivers must hit each other with their vehicles in order to advance positions, with each racer entering their own personalized car. As the film follows the racers through their journey, we see the restoration of the car as well as the race, before the film transitions into an investigation of the community and tradition in a strange interweaving of smaller narratives and a dismantling of meaning.
Hit 2 Pass won the Universidade Lusiada Award for Best International Competition Feature-Length Film at Doclisboa 2014 and has screened in festivals such as the DOXA Documentary Film Festival and the Torino Film Festival.
