About
Created in partnership by Reel Grrls, Northwest Film Forum, and Blanket Fort Films.
Enjoy an advanced camera class designed for emerging filmmakers and those transitioning to RED camera workflows, and taught through a feminist lens. Learn the basics of the Red Epic X and its workflow. You’ll see how the camera package is built on set, then will participate in hands-on instruction to learn about lenses, camera composition, and on set norms and practices for working in the camera department on film productions.
Minimum age to attend is 17, there is no maximum age. This is the first in a series of production intensives being offered this fall for emerging filmmakers. Those age 17-26 who complete all the workshops will be eligible to join RGPro, a production company that produces broadcast-quality media for nonprofit organizations, local businesses, and institutions.
