About

Production Sound Fundamentals & Intensive covers the A-Z’s of audio with filmmakers who wish to have a deeper understanding of sound on set or anyone who is interested in production sound as a career.

We’ll start with the basics of what exactly a sound department should be doing on set, and what the priorities of a good sound mixer should be. There will be a hands-on demonstration of all the gear in a sound mixer’s kit, including timecode equipment and boom pole technique.

By the end of the day, students should have a more comprehensive understanding of why good sound starts at the source and how to achieve it.
