Northwest Film Forum

Local Sightings is the Northwest’s premier showcase of new films, putting homegrown talent in front of Seattle audiences and connecting artists from Alaska to Oregon in a week-long celebration of cinema from the region. Produced by Northwest Film Forum, this annual fall festival features new films, juried prizes, killer parties and national industry scouts looking for strong new work.

>> We are now accepting film submissions for the 2013 festival - see the sidebar of this page to download a submissions form. Eligible films are those finished within the last 18 months, and the filmmaker(s) must live in the Pacific Northwest (Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho, Montana, British Columbia, and the Yukon Territories). Deadline for submissions: Monday, July 1, 2013 (postmarked).
