From among innumerable wonderful films, after a week and a half of spellbinding screenings and absorbing talks with filmmakers from all over the northwest, we are very happy to announce the honorees of the festival!

Sudeshna Sen is Northwest Film Forum’s new Board President. She has served on the board since 2014, most recently as Vice-President.
Through Sep. 27 at 5pm, 4Culture will be accepting applications from media artists to present at e4c, their storefront gallery in Pioneer Square. Up to 12 artists will be selected to present work that will be displayed for up to one year on their street-facing screens. Each selected artist will receive a $500 honorarium!
The Arts & Innovation 2017 Mayor’s Arts Award is awarded for originality, ingenuity, and resourcefulness within the creative sector, and may include projects that weave together arts and technology, connecting new sectors, creative work in emerging industries, or transformational approaches to established genres.

NEW YORK, NY – A coalition of movie theaters across the United States announced today The Seventh Art Stand, a nation-wide series of film screenings and discussions. An act of cinematic solidarity against Islamophobia, the Stand will take place in May 2017, with over 30 locations in 18 states confirmed.
